This coincides with what I've come to suspect was the likely scenario of any blackmail that was happening related to Epstein. Travel to and activities at the Island were all very 'hush-hush' though not entirely secret. Everybody knew certain people were visiting and partying. Then somebody meets with Bigwig and decides to share some juicy gossip about some other person who was seen doing unusual things with an unusually young person at Epstein's Island. Bigwig doesn't really know what was going on with the other person but knows they were at the Island, and realizes that if somebody wants to spread similar rumors about them they have no way to refute the allegations of inappropriate behavior. So now they have a real good reason to do almost anything to keep Epstein or his associates from discussing what went on at the Island with anybody.

Good way to put it. Also nobody has to really KNOW that some of the girls are underage. All that's needed is that they are really young and nobody checks. It's an occasion of sin and you'd have to be a bit worried.

Unless the men were sleeping with teenage girls below the age of consent, there’s no there there. Did Maxwell say anything that suggests that happened?

So they're just rich creeps, and not pervs - in that case?

They aren’t criminals and so the public interest in exposing them is nil.

Thanks to all the cameras, they are very blackmailable creeps in that case!
